Injuries are a major public health problem. Studies suggest that injury presentation can vary by ethnicity and health outcomes are known to be poorer among some ethnic minority groups. However, research in this area is limited in the UK.
Researchers at Swansea University are inviting x2 patients and/or members of the public to apply for a paid opportunity to join the steering group on the newly launched BE SURE study (Building an understanding of Ethnic minority people's Service Use Relating to Emergency care for injuries). They particularly encourage those from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds to get in touch. Participation will take place over Zoom, so those outside of Swansea are able to apply.
